My body of work is composed of animals that I have an attachment with and

a collection of anamorphic figures. The pieces range from painting, to printmaking and mixed media. The specific animals that I do have a defined presence in nature, and with- in their specific characteristics. I use different materials and mediums to create an atmosphere for them to be dominant and bold.

The anamorphic resemblance in the work is my take on how we act instinctually, or almost barbaric in certain cases. We as humans have domain and superiority over animals but we still seem sometimes to fallow there patterns and similarities. The image created is that blend of human intertwining with animal, having man combine with the traits and forms of the wild.

Prints in Portland

I have my Woodcuts, Linoleum, and Silkscreen

prints hanging at the Local 188 in Portland Maine.

The Restaurant is located on Congress Street. I'm

displaying alongside with eight other printmaking

artist, all from Portland. There will a reception in

the beginning of December, and they will be up for

Nov and Dec.

PORTRAIT AND THE FIGURE

Fellow painter and artist Olivia Walsh is joining me

in composing and exhibit of our portrait paintings

and drawings alongside with our figurative work.

The work will be showing the comparisons with-in

the studies of the figure and form, but having the

unique diversity and style of two different artist. Both

artist working primarily from life, as well as photos and

presenting works that posses their own personal

touch.

There will be food and drink, feel free to bring

what you would like to add to the refreshments.

The E.T.P. Elevated Thought Productions crew.

We are on the move and making big things happen.

All of the artist of the association have had their work

through the site. We are so close to having the website launch.

I can't wait for the day. We are having a giant show in

the beginning of December in Lawrence Mass which

will be a great kick start to us blending

with and showing to the public.

Dark World Gallery Show I had my skate deck in.

These are some pics from the opening that I had. You can see the atmosphere of the Beanstalk. It was a very organic and inviting cafe, with great food and love for the arts. There is a pic of the Skate Deck show form, I was recently in as well. I will be putting pictures up from that event soon.

Busy Busy

So I just was on the radio down in Mass with my good friend, fellow artist Dave Christopher. We
had an interview at WCUW in Worcester and it was a first time for me on the radio. It went well
and we had good exposure and some good laughs.
I just took my work down from Jewell and the Beanstalk, the opening was awesome. The show with One of Twenty went amazing for us as a group of artist.
Right now I'm working on new paintings, and getting work ready for a group show in the beginning of September in Exeter NH. I also, have a skate deck put in Dark World Gallery down in Worcester, for a silent action benefit opening. I have a couple commissions lined up and I'm cranking on the creating. I will keep you updated on the new things happening.

BIG THINGS

I have been really busy since graduation which is great. I want everyone to know that the group of artist I'm with One of Twenty is having their first big opening at the Strange Brew in Manchester, it will be Sunday the 25th starting at 4pm. Good people great art and a good time.
I also have work in Jewell and the Beanstalk in Manchester. I will be having an opening on the 28th which is a Wednesday and I believe it starts at 7pm. There will be other artist and music as well. Hope to see you there.
I have been working on my new body of paintings, and work for Dark World gallery down in Mass. I have a couple commissions lined up, and I am pressing forward with my passion and love for what I do.

I Haven't posted anything for a while I have been very busy finishing up with school. I just graduated from New Hampshire Institute of Art, with a B.F.A in Illustration. Right now in the art realm I just hung some new work in Identity, skate shop, in downtown Portsmouth, I'm showing work in July in a Cafe in Manchester, and I'm getting work shot for the company I'm apart of Elevated Thought Productions. I had my Senior show at school where I put up my final series of four paintings, which you can see in my Paintings section, and I sold the piece Falling Forward.Everything is growing and blooming, feels great and I'm happy to see where all this work leads me.

LAUNCH ART show

My good friend James Chase curated a print exhibit of 26 artist. The theme was 'You Bastard', it was great to see everyone's perception and imagery for the title. It was held in Peterborough NH on Friday April 2 and was a great turnout. James and I also had our own art work on display alongside with the prints. Thanks to Tim Donovan for putting it all together and being the owner of such a great gallery.

Just took my work down from Dos Amigos burritos in downtown Portsmouth. I thank them for letting me put my art on display. I sold some work and I'm glad the patrons can enjoy my pieces for where ever they will be put. Good time, great place with friendly people and good food.

About my Work

My body of work is a representation of emotion captured through the relations and experiences I have. Painting then becomes a means for me to record, look back, and grow. Creating visually the trials that we have and the choices we make. The results then can lead to our triumph or to our demise. I let the experience of these settings make for the audience to become unified with the canvas. When painting on the canvas I choose oils to bring out rich tones and color that can provoke the mode and atmosphere of my subjective narratives. The act of layering and repetition of stroke leads me to call upon my subconscious. The paint then responds and communicates to me through the process. That process of making a finished piece is then a captured state of mind, a story to be shared where there sometimes is a cliffhanger and sometimes a comfortable ending.

Well I have posted some of my more recent works in a new organized manner on the blog. I was hoping it would be easier to see the work in the categories. Considering my range of work mostly being mixed media and painting, I felt having them put in each section would be best.
Hope you enjoy and I'm going to be updating the images again soon so there aren't
humongous, as well as getting them closest to the original as I can get. That is what is going on/ going down. Making art, a lot of it Senior Studio has captivated most of my time working endless hours painting. The body of work that has arised, I feel very strongly for with not only the time but the emotion I put into my subjective narratives.
